Broncos’ Coordinator Mike Nolan Resigns
In a surprise move Monday, defensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos Mike Nolan has resigned after one season with the club. The decision to separate was mutual and Nolan Josh McDaniels after a meeting Monday.
“I have great respect for Mike and wish him every success in the future,” McDaniels said in a statement his team short.
Mike Nolan was hired by McDaniels in 2009 and transformed the Broncos ‘2008 29 to rank 4-3 defense in the 7th rank 3-4 unit last season.
As the Broncos turn their eyes to fill the place of Nolan, a name to keep an eye on is the Dean Pees. McDaniels colleague from New England, has resigned from his post as defensive coordinator of the Patriots last week.
McDaniels who will be hiring coordinator fifth Broncos’ defense in five years.
